New at Fusion Arena Basel: Meeting Room for Workshops and Team Events – right at SBB Station

A flipchart and a large screen. Twenty chairs. Behind the door, over 700 square meters of Virtual Reality begin.

Our meeting room at Fusion Arena Basel is ready. This means Switzerland’s largest VR center now has a feature I’ve missed for years: a proper workshop space, directly connected to the VR experience.

Why a meeting room in a VR center?

Over the past few years, I’ve observed hundreds of team events. A pattern emerges: the best conversations happen after a team has solved a puzzle together. Roles become visible. The trainee who took the lead. The boss who listened.

We wanted to leverage this moment. Now, both take place in one location in Basel. A workshop with a flipchart and screen in the morning, team building in the VR arena in the afternoon. The team decides the order.

What the room offers

Space for 20 people, flipchart, and a large screen for presentations. We serve catering and aperitifs directly in the room. The room is air-conditioned, which is important during Basel summers. There’s no daylight, which helps maintain concentration in the room.

The location makes all the difference. The center is located directly at Basel SBB train station. A company event in Basel where the team can arrive from Zurich, Bern, or Alsace without a car. For drivers, we have a parking garage in our building.

A concrete example

Team event for 15 people with a meeting room, coffee, and mineral water: from CHF 1275 for three hours. Workshop, VR games, and catering included. This combination also works well for Christmas parties in Basel. First, a review of the year in the meeting room, then the team enters the virtual world together.

My theory after four locations: Team building works when thinking and experiencing happen in the same place. In Basel, we have structurally brought both together.
