Usually, nobody reads the FAQ, and if they do, it's only to call us anyway and ask if a 9-year-old can play Patient Zero after all. For the sake of completeness, we've listed the most common questions and answers here. If you’re playing a full-body VR game, you should plan to be there for about 1 hour:
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment for administrative tasks, including check-in with rules and liability waiver.
You can watch the health and safety video on site at the booked time.
You will then receive a briefing on the technology and the mission.
Let’s get started: Head to the VR room to get equipped!
The mission itself takes 20–30 minutes, depending on the game and your pace.
After the mission, the equipment is dismantled.
The free lounge games are included in your ticket. After the game, you are welcome to stay for a drink and chat about the experience.
You should allow about 90 minutes for a double round.
Recommendation Full-Body VR (TrueVR): The minimum height for the game is 135 cm and the minimum age is 10 years. VR Light (Genzone): While the headset typically fits a 7-year-old, we recommend that Genzone is not suitable for children under 10 years old.
Children/Youth Groups (12 years and younger) Up to 5 players can play alone. For 6 or more players, an adult must be present to coordinate the game.
The New Youth Protection Law 2025 in Switzerland As of January 1, 2025, providers like us will also be held liable if we allow children and young people to play games that are not intended for their age. Press release: https://bit.ly/40fFd0X
What does this mean specifically?
The two zombie shooters are definitely no longer suitable for children under 12 years old (PEGI rule = violence against fantasy creatures). The PvP shooters against each other do not involve blood; they function like laser tag. We will continue to allow these games from 10 years old.
For events with more than ten people, our consulting team is available to assist you. We would be happy to discuss the best option for your occasion, whether it’s individual bookings or a private event package.

If the game allows it based on the number of players (you can see this in the game overview, minimum/maximum number of players), then you simply pay the additional fee on site. Please understand that we cannot refund overpaid players. In such a case, we will issue a voucher.
We recommend that you arrive on time or 10-15 minutes before your appointment.

Yes, that’s no problem. Our staff are fluent in German and English. The game itself contains no written or spoken language.
The game duration varies between 20 and 30 minutes. Please note that this is the actual mission time within the headset. You can find more information in the product description for each experience.
Unlike in a cinema, we can only sell one slot per “showing.” Therefore, our terms and conditions are strict regarding this. We will try to find a solution with you, but please understand our situation. The average advance booking time for an event with several people in Switzerland is two weeks.
You will then receive further instructions via radio.
We usually receive two new games per year. The best way to stay informed is to follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our newsletter. That way you’ll also get to see special offers.
Experience gained over several years of operation at the Fusion Arena since 2018 clearly shows that less than 1% of visitors have had to end their experience due to nausea or discomfort. If you feel unwell, you can notify the game master and remove the VR headset at any time. All experiences are always supervised by a VR operator who will assist you.
We don’t recommend it, as the risk of accidents increases. Please note that you are wearing 7,000–10,000 francs worth of equipment—per player, mind you. The technical equipment is not mass-produced, which makes repairs costly.
At your own risk and liability. The risk of an epileptic seizure exists in VR; therefore, Fusion Arena and the manufacturers of VR headsets disclaim all liability.
